Liz Christie RP, CPT-R

Liz Christie is a Registered Psychotherapist, a Registered Play Therapist and an EMDR Certified Therapist. She is the owner of Playful Solutions. Liz has experience helping children, adolescents and teens heal from trauma. She has worked with children in foster care, adopted children, as well as neurodivergent children of varying developmental levels within a Psychotherapeutic lense.

Liz is specialized in using Play Therapy, which includes techniques such as sandtray, puppetry, story telling and Psychodynamic art to help children of all ages process trauma, confusing feelings and self concept. She provides a warm and safe therapeutic environment for the development of a strong trusting relationship, which is necessary to create meaningful change in your child's life.

Liz has graduate level training in Psychology, Child Development, Play Therapy, Theraplay, Art Therapy, Childhood trauma and EMDR. She has a registered membership with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy, EMDRIA and the College of Psychotherapist in Ontario. She is qualified to offer  emotionally focused Play and Attachment therapy for children and families dealing with emotional behavioural challenges and relationship struggles. 

Liz Christie is dedicated to offering the highest quality of Play Therapy, Playful and standard EMDR therapy as well as attachment therapy to her community. She completed a clinical fellowship at Family First Play Therapy Centre, she is the former Therapeutic leader for the Child and Teen Counselling program at Wellspring Niagara and Liz is an executive director for the Canadian Association for Play Therapy.
