Liz Christie M.A., RP, CPT-R

Liz Christie is a Registered Psychotherapist, a Registered Play Therapist and is trained in attachment and art therapy approaches at a graduate level. She is the owner of Playful Solutions. Liz has experience helping children, adolescents and teens heal. She has experience working with foster care and adopted children, as well as children of varying developmental levels, including ASD, ADHD and FASD. Liz is specialized in using Play Therapy, which includes techniques such as sandtray, puppets, story telling and Psychodynamic art to help children of all ages process trauma, confusing feelings and self concept. She provides a warm and safe therapeutic environment for the development of a strong trusting relationship, which is necessary to create meaningful change in your child's life.

Liz has graduate level training in Psychology, Child Development, Play Therapy, Theraplay, Art Therapy, Childhood trauma and Applied Behaviour Analysis. She has a professional membership with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy, the Ontario Association for Psychotherapy and is a registered member of the College of Psychotherapist in Ontario. She is qualified to offer emotionally focused Play and Attachment therapy for children and families dealing with behaviour and relationship struggles. 


Liz Christie is dedicated to offering Play and Attachment Therapy to her community. She completed a clinical fellowship at Family First Play Therapy Centre, and is the Therapeutic leader for the Play Therapy program at Wellspring Niagara. Liz is also a director of the board for the Canadian Association for Play Therapy.
